Experience Utah's Mountains in Winter Like Never Before

Utah is a world-class winter destination for anyone who loves extreme sports and the outdoors. Wake up to the sun rising over snow-covered mountains, see the occasional glimpse of wildlife in the forests, and enjoy athletic adventuring like snowmobiling and snowbiking. When you love spending the day outdoors racing through the snow but also want to come home to a cozy, comfortable retreat, there's no better place than The Cabins at Bear River Lodge.

Adventure Awaits: Snowmobiling, and More

You can't enjoy winter sports just anywhere! Utah is the perfect destination for adventuresome winter activities. You'll find remote natural paths of all difficulty levels for outdoor winter activities in Utah, like snowmobiling and snowshoeing

If you love snowmobiling vacations but you don't want to worry about equipment rentals, logistics, or getting trail access, we handle it all for you. Journey 10,000 feet above sea level and enjoy hours of snowmobiling at the Wasatch-Cache-Uinta National Forest. We offer self-guided rentals all winter, but you will have to book a cabin and machines separately.

Looking for an even longer winter adventure? The Cabins at Bear River Lodge offers a five-day, four-night all-inclusive snowmobile event twice per year in late January and early March. Our all-inclusive package covers all lodging, meals, guides, and machines.  You can enjoy three days of snowmobiling as part of the all-inclusive package with an included six hours of guided riding a day. If you want to explore Utah’s exciting natural environment and spot wildlife throughout the rugged winter landscape, our guided experiences offers days of fun all winter season long

Family-Friendly Fun and Winter Planning Tips

Planning your first foray into the Utah mountains—or the first adventure as a family? We recommend letting someone else plan the adventure. Look for guided tours and experiences that handle the trails, equipment, weather concerns, and navigation.

This gives you more time to plan the other essential details, like packing. Be sure to pack waterproof and windproof jackets and pants for everyone, layers of specialty moisture-wicking clothes, and comfortable extras like neckwarmers. Also, pack extra hats, gloves, and socks—these extras will keep you comfortable if you lose something or they get wet!
